Cracks, patches and paint
Concrete moves as it heats and cools, and over the years that movement opens hairline cracks. A crack left open under a coating collects dirt and moisture and shows through the finish, so we fill cracks before anything goes down. Paint and patching compound are the other problem. A coating bonds to whatever is on top of the slab, and if that is a coat of paint, the new floor is only as well stuck as the paint was.
So the diamond grinder takes the whole slab back to bare concrete and we vacuum it. We fill the cracks, which is an add-on priced on your quote, and lay the epoxy base, with or without flake. The floor holds for 24 hours so the base sets up hard, and on the second day we come back and put on the polyaspartic top coat. That hold is why it is a two day install, and the garage floor coating system is the same one we lay across the West Valley.

We price by the square foot, whatever the size of the garage. Crack filling, stem wall repair where the concrete along the bottom of the walls has crumbled, a metallic finish or an old coating that has to come off first all add to the number. Jayson measures the slab and gives you the price in person, and you pick your color and book the install date at the same visit. For the two days the garage is out of use, so the car stays on the driveway or the street. You can walk on the floor 24 hours after we finish and park on it after 48 hours. Do you coat one car and smaller garages in Youngtown?
