Why the top coat is not epoxy
Epoxy bonds to the concrete and carries the flake, so the base coat is epoxy. It is a poor thing to leave on top in this sun.

Epoxy under a polyaspartic top coat
A polyaspartic top coat is UV stable and holds its color, so the clear coat over the flake is polyaspartic rather than more epoxy.

How the two days run
Grind
Day one. The slab gets blown off, ground with the diamond grinder and vacuumed.
Base coat and flake
Epoxy goes down and the flake is broadcast into it while it is wet.
The hold
We leave, and the floor holds a full day before anybody touches it.
Top coat
Day two. We scrape off the loose flake and roll on the polyaspartic clear coat.

Day one, we blow the slab clean and diamond grind the whole surface, then vacuum out the dust. The epoxy base coat goes down, the flake goes into it, and then we leave it alone for 24 hours.
Day two, we come back, scrape off the loose flake, and roll on the polyaspartic clear coat that seals it in.
