Who does the work

Jayson Payne owns Cornerstone Coatings and works every installation himself. The installers who measure your slab on the quote are the ones who grind it on day one and come back for the clear coat on day two. Your floor is never handed to a crew you have not met. Cornerstone Coatings is owner operated.

He has been installing floors since 2024.

How we build a floor

Every floor starts at the grinder. We diamond grind the whole slab, blow it out and vacuum it before any epoxy is mixed, because a coating only bonds to concrete that has been opened up to take it. Then the epoxy base coat goes down, the flake is broadcast into it, and the floor holds for a full day before we scrape it and put on the polyaspartic clear coat.

The polyaspartic top coat goes on every job. It is not an upgrade we offer at a higher price. All of it adds up to 24 hours of work across two days, and the two day installation page walks through each step.

Metallic and marble floors bring a second installer onto the job. Where a slab has low spots that need leveling first, we bring in the people who do that work before we start.

Arizona slabs

Jayson was born and raised here. Ask him about the clear coat and he will answer about heat, because how heat behaves on a slab decides most of what can go on top of it.

How the price is set

The price comes off the square footage. We measure the slab, work out the footage and give you the number in person. It is the same arithmetic for every customer, and the first number is the real one.

What is in writing

ROC #368030. Insured. The written warranty is part of every installation contract we sign, and the warranty page carries the clause itself.

Where the name comes from

The name is for two cornerstones, the one a building is squared from and the one Jayson’s faith is built on.
